Unable to Ping WAN Ip, but able to Ping LAN Ip

I have a concern in which i am unable to Ping WAN Ip, but able to Ping LAN Ip.

What could be the reasons and why this issue occurs.

How to overcome it.

Are we talking about an ASA ?

Are you trying to ping from LAN ?

From PE router (2900 Series) to WAN not pingable, but able to Ping LAN &
From CE HO to spoke WAN not pingable, but able to Ping LAN
