I am very new to configurations on the VPN concentrator 3000. Here is what I would like to do: Have someone use the VPN client to connect to our network. We are using the VPN concentrator 3000 with certificate authentification. When the client connects they are assigned a DHCP address. This works fine. I would like to be able to assign one client a static address. This would allow me to put an access control list on a 2611 firewall/router to allow access to a specific server on the otherside. Can anyone provide steps I need to do this? Do I need additional equipment? Thank you for anyone's input.

If you are doing certs, you might be able to create a group for just that person. Policy mgmt/group matching allows you to create rules to match. you can use the CN of the cert or some other field to match.
You can then create an ip address pool of just one for that group

I semi-understand how to create a group but am not sure what you mean by CN of the cert and where to create the ip address pool.

the address pool is configured on System|AddressPool under the first drop down.
You can configure the pool for a group in the Groups section of the config
