I have a remote user receiving the following error:
It says Error 619: A connection to the remote computer could not be established, so the port used for this connection was closed. For further assistance, click More Info or search Help, etc.
However, I test the connection with my laptop using his account and it works fine.

The error is a RAS error message, not a cisco vpn client one. When you did your test, were you using the cisco vpn client? Also, was your test connection crossing a firewall?

i was using the micosoft client when i tested. the actual user may have been crossing a firewall. my test was not crossing a firewall.

Can you find out if the user is crossing a firewall? I suspect that that is the case, and that firewall will not allow the ms dun/pptp protocol traffic to cross.
