VPN Client issue with SP2?

Hello,

Anyone else encounter any issue with IPSec clients installing SP2 on WinXP? I have some user complaints about not being able to VPN when they were able to do so before and the only change is the patch install.

Have you checked that the firewall service is not enabled on Win XP SP2?

Yeah we tested with the FW disabled also. I just stumbled upon this on eweek, not sure exactly what it is yet though.

We have a lot of troubles with SP2. Our Cisco account manager says to us that their engineers work hard to solve this problem. But Microsoft give often patches (hti fixes) for SP2, and one specific version of VPN client may work with SP2 at one moment. But as SP2 always changes, VPN client always changes (see vpn client v4.6.xxxx, nearly every day, it changes). So at this time, we have to wait until SP2 is stable. >Wait and see.
