VPN error messages

I am seeing alot of these messages in my router:

%HW_VPN-1-HPRXERR: Hardware VPN0/2: Packet Encryption/Decryption error, status=4609

I am using a VPN encryption module, and this is a 2651XM router. What does this mean, as searches for this exact error type have not yielded any information.

This message is seen at times during transition to new session key. If you are seeing this frequently, it could be due to a small value of the configured lifetime. Making the lifetime larger might help. This message might also indicate a hardware problem with the Encryption Advanced Interface Module.
