VPN through external firewall

We have a lovely VPN connection that works great, except for one person. He is working at an outside company and I'm guessing that their firewall is preventing the tunnel from connecting. What need to be open (generally) on his end in order to create the VPN tunnel?

Laura,

It will depend on what type of VPN connectivity you are trying to establish PPTP, IPSec. Knowing this should allow their firewall administrator to be able to allow those ports and protocols through.

PPTP -

TCP Port 1723

Protocol 47 (GRE)

IPSec -

Protocol 50 (ESP)

Protocol 51 (AH)

UDP Port 500 (ISAKMP)
