We have a VPN Anyconnect policy that populates proxy settings in IE required in our environment. This policy apparently modifies HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections\WinHttpSettings. This key is used by WSUS to determine internet access to download updates.
When VPN disconnects the proxy settings clear in IE but some machines the WinHttpSettings registry key does not revert. This causes issues with other applications.
Any idea how to resolve this?
Thanks!
