Carlos Pignataro is a Distinguished Engineer in Technical Services at Cisco. Since joining Cisco in 1999, he was worked in the Technical Assistance Center concentrating on helping customers and improving products. Carlos has also coauthored two books published by CiscoPress and is a contributing author to open-source projects such as Wireshark. His significant contributions to the industry include coauthoring 16 RFCs and other Internet-Drafts, cochairing an IETF Working Group, and acting as IANA Expert for various registries. Carlos also has two issued patents as coinventor, and other patents pending. He holds CCIE certification #4619.
