I tried downloading a file from a website but the downloaded file would not open.

There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.

I tried using a diffrenet proxy andwas able to download and open the same file.

The website is allowed and there in so block set up or maximum download size.

Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

Hi,

Could you please try the following to test:

1. Create a customer URL for the site above and then create an access policy to use that
customer URL
2. Disable malware scanning in this access policy
3. Retry to open the link above and see if PDFs can be open.

Thanks for the response.

I just tried this but still no joy.

Is there any other thing I could try?

I am having the same problems, perhaps with some variation. There are quite a few PDFs that will NEVER load through my WSA. They freeze the browser. If I circumvent the traffic for the browser to not transmit through the WSA, the PDFs load effortlessly.

Other PDFs load without problem.

Kush, can you instruct the correct way to do as you say, "Disable malware scanning"?

Thank you,
