Hi, I want to block torrent download, I have cisco Ironport 160, kindly suggest the setting needed to be done. I have tried by blocking User-Agent BitTorrent , Kazaaclient also port 1056 & 1084. But it's not working.

Hi Rajib,

If Application Visibility Controls (AVC) are enabled (Under GUI > Security Services > Web Reputation and Anti-Malware), then we can block access based on application types like Proxies, File Sharing, Internet utilities. We can do this under Web Security Manager  >  Access Policies  >  'Applications' column <for the required access policy>.
