How to add URLs in Custom URL Filtering through CLI

Hello,

I am unable to access the Cisco Iron Port via GUI as the service ( i think Tomcat ) is down but the device is still up and running and can access via CLI; we have already raised this with Cisco TAC and we are waiting for the scheduled maintance window date and time to do this activity.

but we are getting lots of request from the Security team to block some URL in Cisco Iron Port, therefore the only option to left is to add some Customer URL filterings in the Block filter through CLI.

So please help if some one knows how to do this via CLI.

Many thanks

Ismail

I'm not really sure, but if it's critical that you block these URLs, assuming it is a whole site and not sub-domains of a site, you could add a bogus route using routeconfig, this wouldn't give you a block page though would just give a gateway timeout.

Thanks

Chris

The CLI does not have the ability to make changes to the Custom URL Categories.  The WSA is generally maintained via the GUI.  The CLI is more built for troubleshooting, and miscellaneous settings.
