Hello,

I'm looking to do a wildcard bypass for a site under Cisco Ironport WSA custom URL categories.
What expression should I use to bypass the site *.example.com ?

Thanks.

Hi

you can use ".example.com"

But doesn't ".example.com" work just for www.example.com, or will it work with a.example.com and b.example.com?  Also, will it work with 4th (or 5th or 6th) level domains under example.com such as big.server.example.com?

From what I've seen.".example.com" appears to only work for www.example.com.

WSA has an implicit wildcard * suffix, therefore .example.com will match abc.example.com and xyz.abc.example.com.

Normally we suggest customer us .example.com and example.com to cover all the possibilities.

Are there any differences in that behavior between WSA versions?

It should be consistent for all versions.
