Ironport in the Workgroup environment

Hello everyone,

I have a workgroup environment and i want to buy an Ironport for my Lan to get protected.

I need some feauturs related to the Ironport.

1-I need transparent proxy that can get connected to the LDAP server to get the uses credentials

2-I need an automatic authentication page to be shown at the users screen to login before using Internet but the point is i don't want to set the proxy for users to redirect them for authenticate and i need this web proxy to get shown automatically.

3-I need a logout page that can be called by all users when they finished their job with Internet.

Hi,

I think you're going to be out of luck for this:

1 - Yes, Ironport will connect to LDAP for authentication.

2 - An authentication page as such isn't included, you might be able to edit the End-User Acknowledgement page to add a login to this, would be a bit of work though.

3 - To the best of my knowledge there is no logout function, you could lower the End-User Acknowledgement timeout so they have to accept, login if you managed to successfully alter the page, to an acceptable session time.
