Hello,
I am interesting if IronPort devices support Skype blocking, with per users or per group policies, and if this functionality is officially supported ?

Hi,
in our LAN we have a Cisco IronPort S170. We would like to block Skype and we found a solution that seems work.
Just create a custom url category containing this regular expresion [0-9]+\.[0-9]+\.[0-9]+\.[0-9]+
then create a decryption policy containing the identity for blocked skype users and add in this policy the custom url category you created with action "drop"
hope this helps.

Hi,
There is no direct method to block Skype as it is P2P application. For detailed info, you can check

Hope this helps.

Hello friends,
Please allow me to resurect this old post, does this solution work with explicit proxy configuration? And does it work with HTTPS proxy working?
Regards!
