Are there any special configurations that can be applied to allow RSS feeds through a WSA or must all sites that I would like to receive RSS feeds from need to be added to an exceptions list? Thanks.

I don't believe there is anything needed. I'm not intimately familiar with exactly what RSS is protocol wise.

I did a little googling but came back fruitless. Is it it's own protocol? or is it something that would use HTTP as a transport?

I'll see if I can glean some more.

I am not real sure either. It seems that when I updated our WSA to 6.0, they stopped working correctly. May just be a coincidence but that is when I noticed it. Keep me posted on anything that you can dig up. Thanks a bunch.
