Unknown command : loadlicense | Cisco IronPort S380 WSA

Hi folks,

Hope you guys are doing great. In our organization currently we are using Cisco S600V Web Security Virtual Appliance, previously we are on Cisco IronPort S380 Web Security Appliance but due to some infrastructure restrictions we have to use one of your S380. while configuration I am unable to load license following are the errors I am facing.

PS01> showlicense

Unknown command: showlicense

PS01> loadlicense

Unknown command: loadlicense

It will be really great if someone can help me resolving the error.

You cant load a vm license on a hardware box.

You'll need to open a TAC case with the licensing group, or spin up another VM.

The main issue is that the appliance isn't accepting the loadlicense command.

That's because it's a HARDWARE box.
Hardware is all "feature keys", unless you're using SmartLicensing. You want 'featurekey' to load or check keys.

For SmartLicensing, the commands are:
showlicense_smart Display Smart Licensing status commands
license_smart_agentstatus Display Smart Agent version information
license_smart_agentupdate Updater for smartagent
showlicense_smart Display Smart Licensing status commands
