Virtual WSA CPU spiked and Crashed

Hi Community,

I came to work this morning to find one of my managed customers Ironport had crashed and the only recover was reboot as the console or GUI wasn't responding.

At the time it happened, there would have been minimal users connecting through the appliance, so I am really at a loss here.

I have increased the resources to the virtual appliance to hopefully stop a repeat of this happening.

Has anyone experienced this before, this is a new install and has been in for around four weeks with no issues at all.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Open a TAC case and have them look at it from the support remote connection.

Could be any number of things...

Hi,

Would recommend to contact Cisco TAC and open a case with them since the engineer can get in to the service level of the virtual WSA and investigate from there on the appliance services and engines level.

Increasing resources to the virtual WSA is not really recommended since the resources for each virtual WSA already in template and if they are mis-match it can cause more issues and the appliance itself will get warning regarding this.

Best Regards,
