What's the "merlin" key and why doesn't it show up in the web gui?

I got the following email from our S170 WSA appliance:

The Warning message is:

 Your "merlin" key will expire in under 5 day(s).  Please contact your authorized Cisco sales representative.

Product: Cisco S170 Web Security Appliance

Model: S170

Version: 9.1.1-074

However when I log into the S170 and go to Feature Keys, nothing there is 5 days or less.

What is this key?   

I also received an email that my sophos key will expire in under 5 days.  Obviously that's incorrect as there are 14 days remaining.

Hello,

'Merlin' would be referring to the Webroot feature key, which also appears to be expiring on 1/18/17.

Can you confirm the date on your WSA? This can be checked by using the 'date' command from the CLI. If the date is correct, then it looks like it may just be pro-actively warning you or maybe there's a conflict somewhere with the license dates.

It is correct.  Web gui says 14 days left for that and sophos, so why do my alert emails say less than 5 days remaining?  Is it a bug in AsyncOS 9.1.1 for Web build 074 ?

Why does the email correctly say "sophos" for that key but some cryptic insider terminology "merlin" for webroot?

Hello,

Merlin would be the name listed within the license file that we provide (so the terminology within Cisco's licensing system) and Webroot would be the service that the key enables. Also, I could not find any bug information related to this incident, so you may wish to open a TAC case and we can take a closer look. If need be, we could then create an Enhancement Request to fix the wording within the alerts to hopefully resolve any future confusion.

I opened TAC Case 681609032 today because I received 4 emails saying the following expire in under 5 days:

firestone

merlin

wbrs

sophos

Yet when I look at the feature keys none of my keys are expiring in under 5 days.  So now what do I believe, the alert emails or the feature key screen?  Is something going stop working in under 5 days?

I have two items that are 25 days and I have the license for it but i cannot apply it until 2/1.
