WSA in an Existing Proxy Environment

Hello!

Could you explain me, which function IronPort will support (Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware and etc) working in Transparent or Forwarding mode in environment with existing proxy. I can`t find this information in User Guide.

The function the Web Security Appliance will support will depend on the feature key that you have installed, and what you enable.

The difference in transparent and forward mode will be the way traffic is directed to the ironport, and redirected by the ironport.

One more question-Is there any difference between IronPort,  working in exist proxy environment or wihout exist proxy?

Ii is recommended that the Cisco IronPort WSA will be the downstream proxy, if you plan to cascade proxy, if that iw aht you are asking.

So the existing proxy is preffered to be setup as upstream proxy to Cisco IronPort WSA.

In any case, it is possibly best to just use one proxy, and that it will be the Cisco IronPort WSA :-)
