What is a "Group"?

Hi there! I apologize for the very basic question but I was not able to find documentation that properly explains what a "Group" actually is. I am working on a Webex Bot project and to register it I need to provide a GroupID. It doesn't look like my Team already has any Groups that I could associate it to so I will have to create a Group to assign it to. However, I do not want to create a Group without proper understanding of what a Group's function and properties are. Thank you very much in advance for your time and explanation.

How do you register the bot? Are you using the form at https://developer.webex.com/my-apps/new/bot? It does not require any other information than the bot's (user) name and a short description.

Groups contain a collection of members in Webex. A member represents a Webex user. A group is used to assign templates and settings to the set of members contained in a group.
