Changing Virtual Backgrounds

I am using my MacBook Air and I was trying to change my virtual background, but I couldn't click the button and it kept on said "You can't use a virtual background because your system doesn't meet the minimum requirements."

I have a really important team project, so I have to match the background with my teammates. Is there any way I can change my background?
