Connecting to a device from Webex meeting App

I notice that when I connect to a a device (from either Webex app or Meetings App) that I can either join via proximity (ultrasonic) or manually enter the SIP address of the device. I noticed some differences.
If connected via proximity.
- Room appears as a participant with the name of those connected to the device displayed underneath
- User is prompted to enter a 4 digit PIN

- when sharing content, the sound can be degraded.

If connected manually via room SIP address (call a room device)
- Room Device does not appear as a participant, instead on the attendee connected to the device appears

- the device is dialled and you must answer the call to connect from touch controller
- sound from shared content does not work
One other point,
- How do I force a manual connection to a room device? I can enter the SIP but the app searches and eventually finds the room and connects via proximity anyway.

I'm also trying to find a consistent way to hide the name of the room in a participant list especially where users attend or host am meeting as a cohort with external perties so the name can be changed to "ABC delegation" for example. The room name doesn;t have any context if attending meetings from room devices with external parties.
