I would like to set up message notifications so that I do not get a pop-up message when having my status not visible, but still get the red number on the task bar so I know I have a new message. When I host a meeting, others in the meeting can see/read the pop-up message. I prefer to have my status not visible. In order to prevent the pop-up message, I have to make my status visible and then set it to Do Not Disturb. If I remove the notifications, I get zero indication that I have a new message other than the space is bold inside the app (don't even get the dot next to the name), which is not easy to notice.
There should be an option to disable to pop-up message only while keeping the taskbar notification/new message dot. If this functionality already exists, please ELI5 how to set it up.
