Just had to update WebEx. Now the control toolbar at the bottom is an inch high, wastes loads of vertical screen space and doesnt' auto-hide like it used to.
In addition to that the old auto-hide toolbar used to display the mute button in red and overlayed over the video when you were muted, which made it really obvious when you were muted or not. The new mute button doesn't do that either.
The new controls aren't even hidden in 'fullscreen' mode, so you don't even have a fullscreen mode anymore.
It's a shockingly bad design. Please revert it back to the previous design that was useful and good, and send whoever designed the new toolbar off to get some UX training.
