How do I re-size the Teams chat panel?

My chat area in Teams has now expanded to the point that it's cutting off the left side of the panel - help!

Can you send a screenshot of what that looks like? Not sure I understand the visual you are explaining. I will try to help if I can.

Thanks for your reply. I can't provide a screenshot because I was able to address the problem by re-booting my computer.
That said, the panel that contains the discussion had enlarged to the point where the left-most portion was cut off vs the left-most navigation panel, if that helps/makes sense.
