Is there a way to have shadowing session on Webex?

Is it possible while a person is speaking on Webex with another person, a third person to join the call, via cisco headsets, connected via the usb port on the laptop and stay on mute, only to shadow the ongoing call?

If yes - how?

I'm not sure what the laws are in your country/county/state, but in mine, the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 says  it is illegal to listen or record a call without both parties giving permission, and I suspect that the laws would be different in every country/county/sate anyway.

This sounds like a legal minefield to me.

And at the end of the day, the decent thing would be to inform the other party that the call was being monitored anyway unless this was for law enforcement purposes, in which case I'm sure the relevant authorities would have ways of doing this.

So @vpopova , I have a very simple solution for you.

Have the 3rd person join the call and put themselves on mute!
