Is Webex appropriate for our use case? (prospective customer)

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to find a video conferencing platform that meets the requirements of the startup I'm working for. I'm aware that there's a 'request a sales call' option on this site but I'd rather talk to some technically inclined people rather than sales first, so thanks in advance.

So we've been through a few other providers and run into some problems with recording, stability and frontend integration. Someone recommended Webex to me so here I am, but I'd like to get straight to our use case and get some direct answers on whether it can work before we start trying it, because we've obviously fallen into that mistake a couple of times already.

So here's the use case:

* It's a rated chess tournament platform, which uses video for fair play assurance (i.e. player surveillance - might sound a bit weird to some of you at first glance, but it's necessary for a number of reasons)

* It's a web platform, and the video feeds are integrated into the gameplay screen

* We have a large number of small meetings - usually they are just two people (the players), and occasionally an admin might enter

* Although only these two players can enter the meeting, it should also be possible for spectators to see the feeds too. However, this also needs to be customisable; for example, one of the players might want to disable spectators seeing their feed (also we will have children on the platform), but we still need their feed for the other player and for recording.

* Similarly, we need to disable players' audio dynamically and independently of video without affecting recording

* We need to continuously record both of the players' video and audio in its full form, i.e. not in speaker mode or anything like that - this is a problem we've had with other major conferencing providers

* We need the frontend video feeds to be UI-less, i.e. we need to just get the feeds into two boxes on the screen, without any conference type UI

Sorry for the wall of text, and thanks in advance to anyone who has any insight on this.

Thanks,

Alex
