when I tried to Join a zoom meeting with the cisco video conference room kit the host refused and I got the below error

(the host of this meeting does not have a CRC license).

my question, is there any solution from Cisco side?

For it to join natively, yes, the host would need a license of some kind for the device.  I will let the Cisco employees provide detail here, but you can use macros and an external HDMI and minijack audio converter to feed the kit back into a computer as a camera/mic/speaker for joining 3rd party services as well.

thanks for the help. but I need more explanation about feeding the kit back into a computer. is there any diagram or photo?

Hi @msaeed,

the feature is called "USB Mode" and you currently need some macros on the Webex Room Kit. If you use the Webex App, then you can join the space called "PROJECT: USB Mode", which provides the macros along with documentation regarding setup, cabling and configuration.

You can join that space: https://eurl.io/#L6Rcn39Rn

With RoomOS 11 software (that is not yet released) this functionality will be natively integrated. With the current software on the VC systems (RoomOS 10) you need the above macros.

Here is also good video explaining everything: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5Hde9Zvbvw

Best regards,

Igor

Brilliant, Igor!  That video *just* came out too.  Great stuff.
