Hi there.
Context
We regularly use Webex to run meetings involving Powerpoint decks, where occasionally we need to share videos with sound to participants.
We're using Webex in a browser (Chrome) on a Mac - not the desktop app. It's a relatively new Mac - OSX 12.6.
Sometimes the videos are linked out from a Powerpoint slide to run in a browser tab; sometimes they are embedded in the Powerpoint slide itself.
We know all about setting the share options to optimise video and turn on sound - we already do that.
The problem
Everyone can see the videos in both instances, but we have erratic sound problems. Sometimes people can hear sound, sometimes they can't, from exactly the same links. This applies to everyone - either everyone can hear it, or not.
Questions
1. We find this hard to replicate outside of live sessions - there's no consistent cause we can locate. The only thing we've tried recently which seems to fix it, but doesn't make sense, is changing roles. Yesterday, when it happened yet again, after the meeting we played around with swapping roles for the person sharing, between Host and Co-host. It seemed that if we shared as Host, people could hear the sound, but if we shared as Co-Host, they couldn't. At face value that seems nuts, but wondered if anyone here could share any light on some technical or setup feature of Webex that might cause that?
2. More generally, has anyone come across this specific issue and solved it another way?
