Switching off echo cancellation in Webex Meetings?

Dear all,

we are using Webex Meetings for hybrid meetings - some attendees present in lecture hall, some via Webex from remote. The room features a Sennheiser ceiling microphone to direct camera and audio at the current speaker in the lecture hall. The hardware yields a crystal clear audio signal (confirmed by a recording directly on the system). However, the remote audience on Webex experiences muffled audio and fluctuating quality of audio signal at some speaker positions in the room. This was also confirmed by a recording of the same session directly within the Webex Meeting software.

We suppose that it is a problem of the echo cancellation within Webex interfering with the hardware's echo cancellation. The problem was not resolved by changing the settings within Webex Meetings - e.g. leveling audio or reducing background noise.

--> QUESTION: Is there a possibility to switch off the echo cancellation within Webex?
