Transcript Recording

I want to enable transcript recording. The instructions on this page:

say "Go to Common Settings, Site Options" - I do not have "Common settings" as an option.

 

I am in Webex Control Hub. Screenshot attached of what I see.

Where can I find how to turn on transcript recording, please?

Andy, thanks for your reply but my Webex doesn’t provide any of these option; I don’t have a Control Hub or “Services” place to go. I have “Preferences” and I have “Recording” options but nothing there tells me how to set recordings to get a transcript. I see nothing called “Services”, “Common Settings” nor “Site Options”. Please advise.l

  • First the administrator opens the transcript in the control hub or site administrator(What I mentioned above are the actions of the administrator)
  •  As a regular user, if the recorded video has a transcript, you can open the recording in the recordings module and download it.

  • If you are the host, you can also find recording and transcript related features at Calendar /completed
  • If not, please contact your administrator to open the transcript at the site and refer to the opening step above

I am doing an audio-only recording on my Webex account and want to know if/how to get the written transcript?  i, too, am the sole user on this account.  I do not see an answer to this question from February 2022.  Plz advise.

 

The translate feature is not available with all Webex plans @dianegongaware .  Please check your subscription to verify what features are included.

This is an option for the administrator to enable in Control Hub.  Please verify you have the correct permissions to update this setting as the instructions you posted do have the correct information. It's easiest just to do a search on the page (Ctrl-F) instead of scrolling through to find it.   Keep in mind this is enabling it for all users. 

 

If it is enabled on your site already by another administrator, you can also go to your user web portal and turn it on for your account.

 

If you only want it available for specific people, use the instructions farther down.

I am the sole user and sole administrator of this account. I have a "starter" licence.

 

I've done a search on the page for the word "common" and it's not there.

I suspect I'm in the wrong place, but I don't know where to go.

I couldn't post a screenshot earlier, I'll try again.This is a screenshot of what's on the left side of the screen I'm looking at.

Is this where I should find "Common Settings"?
