Virtual Background Issues

I have been using virtual backgrounds in Webex for the last 9 months or so without any problem. Then it started cutting off part of my head/hair. Someone suggested a green screen so I bought one. It still cuts off part of my hair.head and now shows green around part of my head. I cleared the webex cache and it didn't help. This isn't a glow or minor, it keeps my from being able to use virtual backgrounds at all.

My laptop is the same, camera is the same, lighting is the same. I've tried different lighting, a different camera and nothing changes. Why would it work and then suddenly become an issue? How can I fix it?

Since you already own a green-screen you may try to use software-tools for something called "chroma keying".

I guess, some virtual-webcam-tools support this feature:
everthing within a certain color-range (e.g. greens) will be replaced by the background - image.
The composed result is provided as virtual webcam image source to other applications.

Possible solutions I have heard/read of are:
OBS: https://obsproject.com/

I you are using an external Webcam, the manufacturer of the device may perhaps also offer some software,
like eg. "Logitech capture" etc.
