Does anyone know if it's possible to properly set up do not disturb bypass/interruption on Android phones for the webex app for incoming direct calls? No matter what DND interuption settings I have for the app on android I can't seem to get it to work and I will not recieve notiftications for incomming webex calls when DND is turned on.
Tested on Samsung Galaxy S21 and Google Pixel 10

On Android, Webex notifications (including incoming call alerts) are governed entirely by the system’s Do Not Disturb policy. Unlike native dialer apps, third-party apps like Webex can’t request “priority interruptions” unless explicitly allowed in Android settings. That means:

  • On Samsung (OneUI), it’s under Settings → Notifications → Do Not Disturb → Calls & messages → App exceptions.

  • On Pixel, check Settings → Sound & vibration → Do Not Disturb → People & apps → Apps and add Webex as an allowed app.

Its work for me on S25 and A15

Thank you for your replay @Stefan Mihajlov .

For more clarification, I have these settings configured for every notification type in the Webex App and its seems Webex can bypass DND for every notification type, except incoming direct calls. Meaning that if I have DND bypass configured for Webex, and receive a call, I will still not receive any notification untill I miss it with a 'Missed Call' notification or 'New Voicemail' if one was left.

I have tested this same fucntionality with WhatsApp and direct calls seem to bypass DND just fine.

Hi @brhoch ,

This is a current limitation of the Webex app on Android. Incoming direct calls are handled as standard notifications rather than “call/ongoing communication,” so they can’t bypass DND the way WhatsApp or Teams do. There’s no extra setting to change this — only missed call or voicemail alerts will appear. The only workaround is native dialer integration, otherwise it needs to be raised as a feature request in Control Hub.
