Webex experiance on Mac OS (Apple M1)

Hi Guys,

I would like to share my experience. Maybe some one will confirm my experience or I might draw a different conclusion.

Regularly I find the Webex client slow/sluggish on my Mac Studio M1 (With Ventura and als now with Sonoma).
For example, clicking in the interface is not shown directly. Answering a call works instant (the conversation starts and works perfect) but the UI does not follow as fast. Also looking for contacts (out the Mac OS contacts) freezes a lot. Resulting in high CPU usage for Webex

I attached a print screen (not the best example) but regularly I fined Webex consuming 100% CPU for a period of time.
I'm running version 43.10.0.27451, which is the latest version at this point of time.

Anyone else having this behaviour?

Hello @jacob-aiv

Well, macOS handles quite different CPU usage for each App. If you go to Activity Monitor -> you can review what process is consuming more than 100%. In this case, Webex, shouldn't go beyond 80%. Now talking about percentage, 100% or more doesn't mean that every core is in use.  The % CPU is relative to 1 core, for example, 726% is using almost 8 cores.  So 1 Hyper-Threaded, "virtual" core looks like 2 cores to Activity Monitor.

One quick workaround that sometimes fixed some issues with the usage of Webex, is to reset data base. Try this:

And see if CPU usage is reduce.
