Webex Meetings app for iPad iPhone - Volume does not adjust

There is no way to adjust the volume on the iPad or iPhone Webex Meetings apps. I can get to the volume sliders (in-app and device audio), but they do nothing for adjusting the volume level. Kind of an important overlook on the app developers.

Now we are in 2022…, is any shortcut for iPad available to stop audio?

The only way to mute completely is form the dotted menu: Change Audio Connection (I have to translate this from Dutch, so it may show something else) and choose to have no connection. It's a work-around, The problem is indeed very annoying when I have a phone call...

I have a similar (or perhaps the same) problem.  There hardware audio buttons on the iPad do influence the Webex volume, but only to a certain extent.  You cannot turn the volume low or off, it hits a relatively loud minimum volume and is then unaffected by further changes.  Very annoying when you need to temp mute output.
