Webex not working on Chromebook

I have a chromebook and I am able to login to webex and join a meeting. But the audio and video start failing almost immediately and I get logged off of the session. What can be the issue and how do I resolve it. This is very important as these are training sessions and I absolutely have to attend them.

Hello @b.desai,

Sorry to hear you're having problems with the audio and video during a Webex meeting.  Usually this issues are caused either by your internet connection or resources on the computer.  You can test your internet connection by clicking on this LINK and follow the instructions.

You can also use the health checker during a meeting to get a quick view of the device and internet status.

  • In the Meeting App – click on Help>Health  Checker
  • In Browser App (Chromebooks) – click on the circle with 3 dots in bottom control window, select Health Checker
  • Summary Report reports back on services at  that time only
    · Audio and Video Statistics is a live view of  the computer and network/internet  services:

How to reduce issues:
· Turn off virtual backgrounds
· Limit use of Meeting Reactions
· Turn off video

  • · Change audio to phone – Click on Up arrow  next to Audio icon and select Switch Audio.  Note that when CPU and/or memory usage  are consistently above 50%, the user may see audio, video and share issues depending  on other computer resources,  document/video sharing, virtual  backgrounds etc.
