I use Webex Teams chat app on a Windows 10 PC. I can move people I chat with regularly to Favorites, but after rebooting its all undone. Nothing I've tried allows for a permanent change.
Is there a setting somewhere like "Allow me to make permanent change" that I forgot to enable ?

I ended up solving it. My internal IT was not helpful, probably because the problem was not on the server. A new bug crept in yesterday: messages were not appearing yet, but I could see people sending them via the pop-up.
I uninstalled Webex and then deleted all files off the C drive from Program Files, Program Data, and Program Files (86x), and I could find nothing associated with WebEx. Then, I scanned through the registry for anything that contained WebEx and deleted it. Be careful; backup your registry first. There are a lot of entries that are WebExperience and unrelated; don't delete those. Don't get delete happy.
Reboot and reinstall. For me, my correct settings came right back from the server. Clearly, there was some conflict between the client and server settings. I wish Cisco would take this product more seriously. Right now, it is just a pile of half-done integrations that potentially lead to issues like this. Either take it seriously and make it a true competitor to Microsoft Teams, or sell it and stick to networking/security.

I am having the same problem. Have you ever found a solution?

NO - I was going to ask my companies IT group if they're doing it ... haven't had time.

It only happens after a reboot. Is there nothing I can do to change this ? Is this something that my companies IT group controls ?

Yeah, maybe it is a good idea to ask if they purge something if you log off.
Are other settings such as appearance/theme or the compact messaging view also getting reverted? Those are local settings, too.

Appearance/theme or the compact messaging view settings all seem to stay as I had set them.
I will contact my IT department. Pray for me.

Nope, that should work by default.
Are the favorites also removed if you close the Webex app completely or is it just at reboot? IIRC, favorites are stored in the local database and not serverside. So if your user profile would be deleted at logout or so (for instance at a shared workstation), that might cause such a behavior..
