As of yesterday, 2/16/2022, the Reactions icon always shows to attendees, regardless of whether host has turned reactions off. This looks less than professional for our meetings, and we'd prefer it stay hidden unless enabled by host. I do see that it makes the raised hand easier to see, now that it is visible in the bottom menu, but we never use reactions.
We're also tired of these little 'enhancements' popping up with no warning. Your communication with end users who are not developers is really sub-par.
