Webex Events will be replaced with Webex Webinars on April 1, 2023. What happens with the recordings of Webex Events?. Will they be deleted?

Event recordings will not be deleted and will remain on your site. You can always access the event recordings page even if your site admin has disabled the Events (classic) navigation link from being displayed on your site. Use the URL below but change sitename to your own.

Hello @jlcembellin,

in the official announcement email this topic was not addressed. However I would expect that the recordings will be kept and deleted according to the retention policy.

According to the announcement you will not be able to schedule classic Webex Events from April 1st 2023 onwards, but already scheduled classic Webex Events will still be startable or editable, expect for the date / time frame. Based on this, I would not expect recordings to be deleted due to the migration to Webex Webinars. But since I am not a Cisco employee, I cannot guarantee this, so use this information at your own risk. It would be a good idea to either contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Cisco TAC to double-check.

In regards to recordings there is although on change within Webex Webinars according to this help article: https://help.webex.com/en-us/article/8wf2bb/Compare-Webex-Webinars-and-Webex-Events-(classic)

There will be no more a report which reveals who has accessed the recordings.
