Support for Mobility Express is coming in 8.3 code and, as with the other controllers, you will not need the proxy on site.

This is the behavior of HA when "new mobility" is enabled on the AireOS controllers (to talk to a IOS controller). This behavior is still there in 8.2 code. Regards Simone
