Jabber-MAC - Decline button not hidden if Voicemail is not configured
CSCud66679
Description
Symptom:
Jabber for MAC 8.6(5)
On incoming calls, your are presented with 'Accept' or 'Decline'
The design behind the 'Decline' button is to divert the call to voicemail, per the iDivert feature.
And it would forward the call to voicemail based on the Voicemail Profile associated with the line in CUCM.
However, when no voicemail profile is associated with the line, then the 'Decline' button should not be available.
In Jabber for windows the 'Decline' button is indeed hidden when the voicemail profile is not configured.
The defect is to correct the behavior in Jabber for MAC.
Conditions:
On Jabber for MAC the 'Decline' button is still visible, while it should not be.
Clicking on 'Decline' attempts to trigger the feature, which fails with 'Feature unavailable' displayed on the IP Phone. The call also stops ringing on the Jabber client.
Issue affects only users who do not have a voicemail profile.
Workaround:
Configure a dummy Voicemail profile and associate it with the line in CUCM.
Instead of pointing to voicemail, you can specify any number that exists in CUCM.
With this, the 'Decline' option will be available both on Windows and on MAC.
And clicking 'Decline' will divert the call to the configured number.
