Has this happened to you?
Well, it happened to me. Regardless, if you need a replacement USB cable, the USB-A to USB-A (male-male) that connects the base to your computer, know that there is no Cisco replacement part. When ordering your own, ensure that you order a USB 2.0 unless you understand the specs of the port you are connecting to. Confirmed from Cisco Support:
56x Standard and 56x Multi base USB-A port:
Should use a USB 2.0 cable.
Cannot use USB 3.0 cables when connected to a USB 3.0 port.
Could use a USB 3.0 cable if the device being connected to (e.g laptop, desktop) has a USB 2.0 port.
In some cases if the laptop or connecting device does not have a native USB 2.0 port then a USB 2.0 cable must be used.
Note that as USB cable quality can vary between vendors Cisco can not confirm that every vendor USB-A 2.0 cable will work... but that the USB 2.0 standard is what the USB-A port found on the 56x Standard and 56x Multi base models is designed to function with.
