Webex Google Chrome Plug-in doesn't work

When I installed the Webex plug-in into my Google Chrome browser  I expected to be able to click on it an Join Webex meetings; not so,  when I click on it an it takes me to Google Store.  What is going on?  Has anyone else had this experience?

None of my clients are having issues.  If an 'error msg' or issue persists please contact Technical Support.  It could be laptop issue.

I downloaded Cisco Webex Extension  crx zip  from https://help.webex.com/en-us/7sz190/Manually-Install-the-Cisco-Webex-Meetings-Google-Chrome-Extension,  

unpacked it, when I drag  Cisco_WebEx_Extension.crx into Google Chrome it was rejected,  format invalid.
