Hi,
I have a question about the cisco ACI license.
We have 2 Pods, 2 Spines & 4 leafs for each pod, 2 APIC in pod 1, and 1 APIC in pod 2 and we need to renew ACI DCN license.
My question is, why does cisco only count DCN licenses with leafs only and not including spine and APIC?
Can anyone explain this, it would be better if there was an official link from cisco.
Regards,
AM

ACI can be viewed as a sort of large modular L3 Switch. It has supervisors (Controllers), Line cards (Leafs) and Fabric Modules (Spines). Similar to the licensing on a physical modular chassis you only apply licensing to the line cards. Same applies to ACI Leafs here.
