Hallo,
I am trying to configure MP-BGP EVPN (Golf) with ACI and ASR 9k in a lab setup.
I do have a working multipod environment.
The thing I am struggling with right now is the bgp ASN I have to use for GOLF.
I configured MP-BGP within the fabric with ASN 65500 to keep it separate from the ASN on the WAN-Device (65010), however that may not have been the smartest idea.
Now I am trying to bring up the MP-BGP connection between ACI Spines and WAN-device but that fails, because I configured the ACI-Neighbor to be part of ASN 65010 to bring up an iBGP-Peering, but ACI considers itself to be ASN 65500.
Is there any way out or do I have to use the same ASN within the fabric as outside or should I consider to configure an eBGP-Peering? Is there any best practice for this seup?
To use MP-BGP with eBGP looks somehow "unusual" and does not feel right to me.
Any ideas welcome.
