APIC-SERVER-M2 tech refresh with APIC-M4

Hello Guys,

We are running small ACI setup with 3 units of APIC-SERVER-M2 (UCS C220 APIC-Server-M2) which will be EOS by 30june2024.

Upon checking internally we found that , we can replace existing APIC-M2 with new APIC-M4 and we need to upgrade current setup to 5.3.(2) before APIC replacement.

Unfortunately, our devices are out of contract. Can anyone share Upgrade procedure and replacement procedure to me for my understanding?

Purchase the new APIC-M4s which hopefully you have support for - this will entitle you to the software access.  Download the appropriate ACI 5.3 image, upgrade the existing M2 Cluster > 5.3, then follow the documentation to swap out the controllers one by one.  https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/dcn/whitepapers/cisco-apic-cluster-migration-guide-531.html
