Changing APIC

Hello,

I have a cluster of 3 APICs (APIC-CLUSTER-M2).

I want to change the 3 medium APICs to the large APICS (APIC-CLUSTER-L2)

Can I add the new APICs to the cluster and then remove the old ones? or is there another way to change the APICs without affecting the network.

Hey Ziad,

I would recommend replacing the APICs one at a time instead of increasing the cluster size. Ensure the cluster is fully fit prior to decommission/recommission of each APIC. You can follow the below link for steps on replacing an APIC

APIC Hardware Replacement

This will not impact data plane traffic in the fabric
