Connecting an ASR to ACI Leaf

We connected an ASR directly to a Cisco Leaf. We are experiencing intermittent slowness with traffic going through the ASR. Should we change the MTU size on the ASR to 9000? Currently, the ASR is at default of 1500 and the Leaf port is at default of 9000.

Your MTU's should match up.  Which protocol are you peering with?

ACI is being used as the L2 connectivity. The ASR in question is connected to Pod2 and while all other routing is done on a N7K connected to Pod1. A picture has been provided (MTU-Question.png)

Curiosity: Is the ASR9k independently managed or does APIC have control ?
