Hi,
If we implement ACI or VXLAN,
As far as i know vmware can take advantage of VXLAN or ACI.
The question is other physical servers normal windows ,linux servers can we cleanly migrate to an environment where ACI or VXLAN using .
Thanks

Hello,
I believe you are asking if ACI supports the attachment of baremetal servers, which is does. One way to do this is to configure a FEX for your fabric.

Hi,
sorry for the confusion .
if i rephrase my question ,
what are the pros and cons if we go for ACI and VXLAN ? in an environment
where physical servers (which we cannot migrate to vm since the application does not compatible ) ,vmware ,storage (servers are connected using separate fiber switch to the storage ) and NAS
are deployed .
And in future may go for fcoe
And can you tell me why FEX required ?
Thanks

Just to clarify: FEX are Not Required, but allow further connectivity options within ACI. ACI utilizes VXLAN, but VXLAN is not required for server connectivity. Some of the pros of going with ACI where Baremetal servers exist is that it can be easier to apply the same policy across both baremetal and virtual workloads. ACI can standardize the configuration easily across many ports so that there is consistency and uniformity across the datacenter.
