Ian,
If your leaf isn't connected to your APIC and has no mgmt interface and you want to log in you are going to need to use console access. If you can not using the options Robert explained previously, you can also copy the image using a USB drive following these steps:

Note - ** USB stick needs to be formatted with FAT32.
1. Plug the USB in switch, check the contents using <dir usb1:> or <dir usb2:>
2. Copy the image from USB to switch <copy usb1:(Image Name) bootflash:>

Once the image is manually copied over, to go from ACI back to standalone mode at the loader prompt type:
loader > cmdline recoverymode=1
Then you have to manually boot the n9000 image.
loader >  image name.bin
Now you can reach the boot mode
switch(boot) # init system
Then you need to load the nx-os
switch(boot) # load-nxos
Next, load the specific version
boot nxos bootflash://sup-1/<imagename.bin>
Save your changes
switch(config)#copy run start
Verify:
switch(config) # show boot
Check to see if EPLD and nxos the version is being run:
switch(config) #show install all impact

Let me know if this helps.

Michael G.

You can manually copy the image (download from CCO) and copy it to the bootflash of the switch in ACI mode using SCP/FTP/SFTP.  Then follow the conversion procedure using bootloader.

Robert

I have console connectivity to the new isolated ACI Leaf (not connected to APICs) so I can logon to it.

I also have a mgmt. connection cabled but there is no IP Address used or configured on the ACI leaf.

Is it possible to logon to the ACI leaf directly and configure the mgmt0 interface so I can copy over an nxos image?

Thanks

Ian
